What is a Dreamcatcher?
The dreamcatcher is a sacred object, often compared to the web of a spider, carefully woven within a hoop and traditionally hung above the place of rest. It is meant to offer protection during sleep and guidance while awake.
The web represents the web of life—holding hopes, dreams, and teachings that travel with us through our journey, reminding us to walk in good ways and follow what brings balance and purpose.
This is one understanding among many Indigenous Nations. In Ojibway teachings, the dreamcatcher is said to catch the bad dreams in its web, holding them until the first light of morning touches the strands, allowing those dreams to dissolve, while the good dreams pass through and continue on to the dreamer.

How I got started
After losing my father in 2015, I struggled with depression and self-destructed. I found peace in creating dreamcatchers, a simple act that brought profound healing. I would make them and give each one away until someone insisted on paying me for it, and it grew from there on its own. This started as a way to cope which turned into passion and connection then to small business. I see it as a way to honor my father's memory and share the beauty of Indigenous culture.
